(Hella Snoeren, Marc Uijland, Nadja Schmiemann, Olav Wissink, Miranda van der Slikke)

Are you facing personal circumstances that may impact your studies? If so, you can make an appointment with one of the student deans. They are here to support you.
(photo left -> right: Hella Snoeren, Marc Uijland, Nadja Schmiemann, Olav Wissink, Miranda vd Slikke).

For example, you can contact a student dean if you are at risk of study delay due to illness or other challenges, or if you have a functional impairment and need additional facilities or adjustments. Student deans also provide information and advice on regulations, financial matters, and study-related procedures.

Student deans are available to all WUR students and are not connected to any specific degree programme. Everything you discuss with a student dean is treated confidentially.

When to Contact a Student Dean

Get in touch with a student dean if you:

need adjustments to your study programme due to a disability or functional impairment
are at risk of study delay
combine your studies with caring responsibilities, pregnancy, or parenthood
have questions about arrangements and facilities (e.g. the FOS scheme, elite sports, educational adjustments)
are considering a temporary withdrawal, stopping your studies, or switching programmes
have questions about financial matters such as student finance (DUO), grants, or private funds
need information about complaints procedures, appeals, or objection processes
