Talk about it - It really helps!
Are you struggling with something and need to talk it through? Wageningen University offers short, accessible coaching sessions - with no intake required - for students who need a listening ear. Sometimes sharing what’s on your mind with someone who truly listens can bring immediate relief.
You can talk about anything that affects your wellbeing: loneliness, grief, relationships (love, friends, family), motivation, health, decision-making, or questions about the future. Our Student Life Coaches are here to support you.
How to make an appointment?
- Send an email to one of the coaches (email address below) and indicate that you would like to talk to a student life coach
- Talks can be in Dutch or English - Online or face-to-face
- After receiving your email, the life coach will contact you for an appointment
- Duration 45-60 minutes/max. 3 appointments.
- The first three appointments are free of charge. If you need further guidance, the coaches will charge a fee.
- Marloes & Evelien specialise in grief coaching.
| At present, you should expect a waiting period of five weeks on average before you can see the life coach. |
Please note: For questions related to study delay, financial matters, or studying with a disability, please contact the student dean. For personal issues that may lead to study delay, you can reach out to the student psychologist.

"I am fascinated by the brain. Its power, resourcefulness and, perhaps most of all, ability to create. Added to this is the fact that you can reframe brain patterns, making the process of our thinking and doing very interesting.
I am committed to helping people discover what works best for them.
Feel free to arrange a phone call or online meeting if you want to just share or explore how you could do things differently."

"Inevitably, there will be difficult moments in our lives that can leave us feeling lost, stressed, anxious, or heavy-hearted.
In our conversation, you can focus your attention on this and give it the space it deserves. We can explore how you can get the tools you need to regain your resilience and carry on with more energy and acceptance.
My particular expertise is in grief, and I have training in Zen meditation.
'Empathic, clear and calm', are the keywords from student feedback."

"Loss and grief are natural parts of life, but their impact can be profound. Grief takes many forms; you might mourn the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, an illness, or the loss of future possibilities.
How do you grieve? How do you process? How do you recover? It's important to make room for your emotions and to share them with someone who truly listens.
My warm and supportive coaching style provides an inclusive and safe space for you to process and heal. Welcome!"

Student testimonials
"At first I hesitated to sign up for a session because I thought that I could deal with my issues myself. Eventually, I decided that I wanted to prioritise my mental health. Getting professional help with it is not weird at all!"
"I really appreciate a helping hand! This doesn't have to be a long-term psychological trajectory. Sometimes, just one conversation with someone who thinks along and offers some tools can really help to get you started."
