Dates & Registration
Listening Ear - Helping Hand
No WURries connects those students who would benefit from extra support during their studies. WUR already offers support to students with functional limitations. The NoWURries group further supports students by providing a safe space where they can express their thoughts and needs and find mutual support. You are free to be as active as you like, whether you prefer to listen or actively contribute. Sign up or drop by!
Do I need to have a diagnosis?
This support group was initiated for students with functional disabilities (chronic conditions that can hinder their participation in education). These include neurodivergence (such as AD(H)D, ASD or high-sensitivity), depression, anxiety, and chronic diseases. However, you do not need a diagnosis.
Although NoWURries focuses on students with functional disabilities, we also welcome people who could use extra support due to other - temporary – circumstances. Everyone is welcome!
By and for students
This support group has been initiated by student deans and -psychologists together with students. Your participation helps you and your fellow students, but can also help the university to tailor its policy to all students’ needs. Stop by and let your voice be heard!
What does a No WURries meeting look like?
No WURries is a small gathering of students. Michel Kropman leads the session and will offer an informal and welcoming atmosphere. The NoWURries sessions are flexible; after an introduction round, participants are free to indicate the topics they want to discuss.
Do not hesitate to sign up or drop by for a drink, a snack and a good chat. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact us.
Quotes from participants
"Finally, a place where I can meet people I don’t have to explain myself to."
